We are taking a team to Ghana in August 2008, 2-16th August. We have a longstanding link with Jude Hama, the director of Scripture Union Ghana. He has invited us to send out a team to help on one of the many SU camps for school children held every summer across Ghana. The plan is to fly out on Saturday 2nd, stay in Accra, the capital till Tuesday doing orientation then travelling to Kumasi where there is a purpose built SU campsite. We would work as camp officers alongside Ghanaians with the teenagers. Typical camp duties would be playing games, leading craft activities, doing one to ones, bible studies, giving talks and simply getting to know the young people to share with them the gospel. After a week's camp there would be a few days sightseeing, plans to visit an ecoforest project, rainforest canopy walk, Cape Coast and Elmina slave castle. Then we fly back on 16th August.
