MUMS' GROUPS AT CHRIST CHURCH
The Mums Groups are morning bible study groups for, predominantly, mums of younger children.
There are 7 groups that meet for a couple of hours on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and
one of the best things about these groups is the crèche helpers. Lovely ladies who look after the
children while the mums study together, thereby giving the mums a much needed break.
The groups aims are threefold
To Look Up towards God by meeting to study the bible together and thereby increasing
their knowledge and faith in God, and through praying together. Each group decide what
what they are going to study each term.
To look in towards each other. They are groups where Mums can find support of many kinds,
through prayer, friendship and in a practical way ie meals after having a baby, having someone's
child if the mum is sick.
To look out towards others. This is done by mums bringing their friends to groups
which is how these groups have grown over the years; and all the groups have some sort of link
with a local charity which they support through doing fundraising.
