Apprenticeship scheme
The apprenticeship scheme (currently being piloted) is open to existing members of Christ Church who want to develop their skills and experience in a particular ministry area, maybe with a view to full-time ministry in that area in the future.
Apprentices give at least one day a week to Christ Church over and above the level that most volunteers give. It is expected that apprentices will be self-financing, although a limited bursary will be available where necessary. Apprentices will have an agreed job description, supervision structure and training as part of their apprenticeship.
For example, our current apprentice does 4 days' paid work a week elsewhere, and gives 2 days a week to children's ministry within Christ Church, under the supervision of our Children's Minister.
In the first instance, those interested in apprenticeships should speak with their ministry leader.
