Sundays at Christ Church

8.00am Holy Communion
A quiet, traditional said service based on the Book of Common Prayer.

9.30am Morning Service with children's groups

NB - during the school summer holidays (last week in July to end of
August), and on the Sunday after Christmas Day, we hold a combined
10.30am morning service, rather than separate 9.30am and 11am
services. Over the summer, these Sundays include a creche and groups for children up to 14. Coffee is served from 10.15am, and again after the service.

11.15am Morning Service
A more traditional service with a chamber choir and baroque orchestra once a
month. This service aims to take the very best from traditional music and has relevant biblical preaching at its centre. Coffee is normally served after the service.

6.30pm Evening Service
Our largest service encompasses a broad age range, but includes a good number of students, older teenagers and young adults. There is an emphasis on lively worship with a singing group and large band. Central to this service is the bible-centred teaching which aims to connect God's truth with people's lives. Refreshments are served afterwards, and in term-time, the students meet downstairs before the service.

A service teeming with life for young and old, aiming to provide worship and teaching relevant to both adults and children. It tends to follow a simple structure with informal style. Most weeks, we divide into groups after the first 10 minutes or so, with teaching groups downstairs and in the locality for children and young people up to the age of 14. Roughly once a month, we have a children's service, when we all stay in together for the whole service.
